Ringing In The New Year

Well we can all ring in the New Year with joy as Syracuse romps past K-State in the inaugural Pinstripe Bowl. Who makes these decisions anyway?  We appreciate that they didn't call it the In-n-Out Burger Pinstripe Bowl but how much is this gonna cost Lonn Trost to re-sod the place?

We need pitching and we need it before we start rationalizing a Chan Ho Park signing again.  C'mon Brian, get going.

Looking back 2010 was a good year for some in the baseball world, like the old hometown Giants who finally did right by San Francisco in treating them to a title, but here in the Yankee Universe it was a failure.  There is no second place in the Bronx and if you don't believe me, just ask the Captain.  Looking ahead we see some great possibilities, a good blend of talent old and new and come April, we hope to see the Yanks field a team that even George would love.

The Universe Expands

Hey I don't know about you, but when it gets to be around this time of year and it's cold and snowy, talking baseball keeps me warmer than hot chocolate.

While the league is trying to figure out how to tinker with the playoff system, and we all await another season hoping those lamebrains don't follow their solution to fix the All-Star game with yet another ridiculous decision, we are taking some time to get to know our Yankee brethren and watch meaningless bowl games.

Here at Yankee Fan Headquarters we're all playing a nation-wide game of hide-and-seek with every single other team's number two and three pitchers.  Peek-a-Boo Matt Garza we see you.  Andy's shining his golf clubs and we're shopping for arms and yes, we would have taken him, but since he decided to go LeBron on us, we're the first ones to say, "Cliff who"?

The stadium is being used a lot this winter and I guess at $2500 a seat we should have expected some moonlighting.  But you wait til one of these Notre Dame back-up running backs steals Jeter's Gillette razors and that place is gonna be a winter museum from now on.

Speaking of Derek he starts the season only 74 hits from 3K.  We're looking forward to seeing history made at the Stadium this year but if it happens on the road, I have a feeling the Universe will be still be watching.

OK...Now listen up CASHman, patience is a virtue but winning is addictive so get your frequent flyer miles together and go get us TWO pitchers (preferably named Carlton and Gibson) and a then how about a good back-up infielder with the leftover millions.

Then we'll leave you some cookies and milk by the chimney.
